Each Wednesday evening throughout the school year, children in Grades K-6 are invited to participate in Kids' Block. Led by the College and Career Crew, this program instructs kids in the basics of the Christian faith. There are songs, games, memory verses, Bible lessons, and other great activities. Currently, children are learning The Biggest Story Curriclum by Kevin DeYoung.
What is Summer Kids Block?
Summer Kids Block is a program run by the Grace Baptist Church. It is a Vacation Bible School (VBS) style program that is run once a week on Wednesday evenings for the whole summer. Children will participate in supper, games, activities, crafts, snacks, and Bible stories under the supervision of qualified and gifted leaders.
Who is it for?
Summer Kids Block is intended primarily for school aged children (ages 5- 11). Younger children may participate at the discretion of their parents and Kids Block leaders.
When is it?
Summer Kids Block runs every Wednesday in June, July, and August (weather permitting). The program begins at 6:00pm with a free dinner (usually hotdogs and/or hamburgers, chips, and drink). Parents should pick up their children at 8:00 pm.
How Much Does it Cost?
Nothing! Summer Kids Block is provided absolutely free by the members of Grace Baptist Church. We only ask that you come willing to participate and listen intently. In addition, we ask that participants treat other children and adults respectfully, and refrain from using inappropriate language.
